Take a break from the action, and curl up with a good book—or do some coloring! All ages are welcome in the Mathical Reading Room & Coloring Book Corner. Comfy furniture, good books, mathematical patterns to color, and washable markers are provided.
There’s more! Pick up your copy of the Mathical Book List (opens new window), nab a Mathical bookmark or two, post your new artwork on the picture wall if you wish, and snap a photo to share with friends and family.
Meet and Greet in the Mathical Reading Room
- 10:00 am to 12:00 pm: Meet Dr. Rebecca Goldin, Mathical Selection Committee member.
- 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm: Meet Robie Harris, author of Crash! Boom! A Math Tale (opens new window).
- 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm: Meet Kate Narita, author of 100 Bugs! A Counting Book (opens new window), and Dr. Herbert Ginsburg, Mathical Selection Committee member.

Dr. Rebecca Goldin is a professor of mathematical sciences at George Mason University. Goldin is the director of STATS, a nonprofit, non-partisan project to analyze and explain numbers and statistics in the news and to promote statistical literacy in the media and society.
